SUMMARY: This is a quiet trail that offers another option to get to Grouse chalet. Starting from Grouse Grind gate. Take Baden Powell and head east. Hike for 1.1Km or 15 minutes. Watch for a sign that says "Old BCMC and Larson Trail". This is the junction to Larson trail. If you reach to the fall, you went too far. From the junction, the terrain steepen. In some sections, the markers are sparse but the footpath is well defined. The trail eventually connects to BCMC trail at 900m elevation.create

Larsen Trail (from Grouse Grind Parking Lot) One Way
Oct 19, 2015
Felt like fall Vancouver hiking today with some misty rain and low fog in the trees on Grouse. We went up McKay from the Powerline trail, exploring the old cabin sites as we went. It's as steep and relentless and the rest of Grouse but minus the crowds. On to Simic's trail with its chiseled rock markers and up to the Chalet. Saving the Skyride cheat for darker days, we then came down on a combo of BCMC, Larsen and the Baden Powell. A good few hours out!
