I was able to get to Manning Park to snowshoe the Lightning Lake trail. Very few people at the day area as it was a work week so no crowds. Weather was great – not too cold, it was dry and sun peaked out from time to time.
Arrived at the Lightning Lake day area and had no difficulty finding parking. Put on my snowshoes and headed out. There was no fresh snow, and the trail was packed down so snowshoes were not needed. On this day we could have easily hiked the trail using micro-spikes.
Enjoyed this walk around the lake. Some nice views especially from Rainbow Bridge.
