We started out for Mike Lake, but the park was closed today. We thought initially it was because of the bad snowy and icy roads. So we parked outside the gates and snowshoed in along the main road about 4 kms. Carnage everywhere..LOTS of trees down. We thought it safer to not venture into the forest to Mike lake, but to stick to the road as when we walked we could hear trees topple. It was quite spectacular...great little easy walk, but be careful venturing into the trails with the trees coming down so frequently.
